The structure is closed with a vapour shield Pro Clima Intello and wooden beams are attached with a double purpose: (1) to hold the shield intact under the high pressure used when inserting the insulation and (2) to attach the dry-wall boards afterwards.
All openings used to add the insulation are closed with tape. Cables for electricity are attached to wooden plates that can be used for attaching the light fixtures without damaging the Intello.
The airtightness is in the outside layer, as some of the walls had to remain visible from the inside. The placement of the windows in the insulation layer therefore required a specific design which was done in close collaboration with the architect Rob Mols, Reynaers Aluminium, Th!nk E and ISOPROC.
