Guiding your energy transition

v2g

V2G and Smart Car Charging

EY, Th!nk E, Sweco and Navigant won the EU DG ENER tender on best practices and assessment of regulatory measures for cost-efficient integration of electric vehicles. Th!nk E works specifically on reaching out to stakeholders, in-depth assessment of past and ongoing projects and literature. Policy measures will be proposed to enable the EV market uptake.

ostend

Ostend Science Park

The Science Park in Ostend is a R&D and industry site in development. The challenge Witteveen+Bos, Th!nk E and BDO accepted, was the development of a fossil-free energy concept. Th!nk E was in charge of the simulations and optimisations to identify the viable business cases and cooperation model.

Mechelen Keerdok

Mechelen Keerdok is a brownfield development close to the city centre. The city of Mechelen tendered a request for an optimal energy concept for the building with parking, offices and retail. Th!nk E worked with I.Leco and SuReal to deliver the study, where Th!nk E focused on the energy system optimisation and dynamic sizing of components and cooperation strategies.

logigrid

Logigrid for VIL.be

The Flemish logistic sector is greening its energy supply as part of its targets to become sustainable and climate neutral. Concepts as energy trading, flexibility exchange and its valorisation are analysed and optimised by Th!nk E, together with Powerdale and Witteveen+Bos. The project will assess up to 5 geographically spread logistic clusters in Flanders.

Smart Cities Information System

The Smart Cities Information System is a contract for DG ENER in which a group of European entities supports city transition projects. Th!nk E is active in several engagement and outreaching activities and delivered a number of booklets explaining complex technologies and concepts, providing in-depth insights and summarising lessons learned from previous and ongoing implementations.

decide

DECIDE H2020 project

DECIDE is a H2020 project, composed and coordinated by Th!nk E and focussing on setting up new and maturing existing energy communities, as well as rolling out large scale collective purchase actions. A key focus is on the user: understanding user categorisation with the connected variations in communication needs and decision triggers.

bridge

BRIDGE: H2020 projects cooperation group

Bridge is a cooperation between all EU H2020 projects in the area of smart grids. Th!nk E had been co-coordinating the Business Model Working group and is currently coordinating the Task Force Energy Communities. With Joanneum Research, Th!nk E engages with multiple energy regulators and policy makers on the transposition and the assessment of the conceptual design for end-consumers.

ROLECS: Roll Out of Local Energy Communities

ROLECS is an interdisciplinary project where user engagement and communication is combined with engineering tools and real-life testing. The focus is on the potential and limitations of energy communities in Flanders and the assessment of the impact of a wide scale roll out of energy communities. Th!nk E coordinates the project and contributes to the analysis.
