The milestones that define
our path.
The first requests for building simulations arrived, and the seeds of Th!nk E were planted.
The company was formally established on April 27, creating a stable foundation.
Next to policy studies and assignments for the provincial, Flemish, and federal institutions, from 2013 until 2015, we renovated a building into a monitored zero-energy environment, integrating thermal storage, PVT panels, geothermal foundations, and experimental materials.
We participated in the CITIZEN project (2014–2020), which was our first large European project.

We established BRIDGE, a project that fostered collaboration across multiple initiatives focused on electricity grid flexibility, expanding our work from local projects to European-scale energy systems.
We partnered within an existing framework contract with DG RTD, conducting research and technological development on Technology Readiness Levels, which helped position the Th!nk E work firmly within European-level policy and system evaluation.
We partnered with different organisations on a DG ENER project, SCIS, securing our first major advisory role and building a reputation for reliable guidance in complex, multi-stakeholder energy projects.
From 2020 onwards, Th!nk E became a recurring partner in EU framework contracts, contributing to projects for DG MOVE and DG ENER.

Th!nk Europe was established as a network of recognised experts, ensuring that contributions remain attributed to their authors, and uphold the highest standards of integrity.
We took the lead in coordinating its first European framework contract, supporting the Clean Hydrogen Undertaking – Service Contract.

We partnered to deliver a service contract on energy policy and regulation for the EU’s outermost regions and territories, marking our first Policy & Regulation contract beyond Europe.
We began delivering work under our first framework contract with the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE).
