Introduction
The Clean Energy for EU Islands (CE4EUI) initiative serves as the central platform for the clean energy transition of more than 2,400 inhabited European islands. It supports islands in their ambition to reach 100% renewable energy sources while facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices.
Approach
The CE4EUI secretariat provides technical support to 30 islands or groups ofislands, organises events such as the annual forum and thematic workshops, and monitors policy developments through a regulatory inventory of clean energy policies. It also carries out studies to examine barriers and formulate key technical and regulatory recommendations to enhance the integration of renewables on islands.
Our role
Th!nk E contributes regulatory overviews, studies on barriers and recommendations, and direct technical assistance to islands navigating the clean energy transition. This work draws on Th!nk E's expertise in technical support, project management, and policy and regulatory analysis.
