Introduction
Increase accelerates the uptake of integrated photovoltaics (IPV) by delivering innovations across materials, module design,system integration, and operational optimisation. It develops new encapsulants, coatings, lightweight modules, and advanced BIPV/IIPV building envelope systemsthat improve aesthetics, fire performance, durability, and environmental impact.
Approach
The project combines advanced modelling and digital design tools with extensive laboratory and outdoor testing, validating solutions at 10 demonstration sites across Europe. Users, architects, policymakers, and industry are involved through co-creation from the outset, ensuring alignment with market needs and supporting a clear pathway to commercial uptake.
Our role
Th!nk E is the Coordinator of Increase and leads both WP8 on impact creation and WP9 on project management and impact assessment. This includes coordinating the full consortium, overseeing reporting, risk management, and internal procedures, driving communication and dissemination strategies, preparing country-specific booklets, and co-developing the user-facing application for VITO's Building Energy Management System. Th!nk E also plays a central role in transversal innovation assessment, contributing to KPI frameworks, monitoring approaches, aesthetic evaluations, and co-creation processes.
